		<description>I was very interested to read your suggestion to choosing a Transitional doctype in scenarios when you know the site is going to be handed off to a client. In the recent discussion in the blogosphere about doctype, the mantra has been &quot;choose xhtml or html - it doesn&#039;t matter - just make your doctype strict&quot;. However, I think your Transitional XHTML suggestion makes perfect sense for scenarios where it cannot be guaranteed that good care will be taken of a website&#039;s markup once the original (and standards aware) developer relinquishes control. Great article.</description>
